Belief & Values
Our core values are worshipping the Triune God, nurturing the believers and spreading the Gospel and showing compassion.
Worship
Worship the Triune God
God has chosen us in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory’ (Ephesians 1:12). Each of us is called to sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in (our) hearts to God (Colossians 3:16).
Discipleship
Nurture the Believers
God intended that the church not only bring people to initial saving faith but also present everyone perfect in Christ (Colossians 1:28), and God gave the church gifted persons ‘to prepare Gods people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ’ (Ephesians 4:12-13).
Outreach
Spread the Gospel and Show Compassion
Jesus told his disciples that they should ‘make disciples of all nations’ (Matthew 28:19). He also taught us to ‘…love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful’ (Luke 6:35-36).
Our Statement of Faith
The Canberra Chinese Christian Church is a non-denominational Christian Church. Our statement of faith is the same as the Chinese Christians Congress of World Evangelism, and is also based on the Apostles Creed.
We believe the Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the Divine and final authority for Christian faith and life.
We believe in the one, true and living God, eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in God and the Son, Jesus Christ, true God and true man, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross and shed His blood as atonement for the sins of men, and was raised bodily from the dead. He ascended into heaven. He will return imminently and personally according to His promise.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Godhead, Who is one in essence, equal in power, and co-existent with the Father and the Son. His ministry is to convict men, to give new birth to the believing sinners, and to indwell and empower the believers for godly living and service.
We believe that man was created in the image and the likeness of God, but in Adam all men have fallen into sin, and as sinners men are in need of God’s salvation.
We believe that sinners who repent are born again solely by God’s grace and justified through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
We believe that there shall be a bodily resurrection of all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life, and of all unbelievers to eternal punishment.
We believe that the church is one body, consisting of those born again by the Spirit of God, and of which Christ is the Head, expressing itself in worship, fellowship, evangelism, and service.

Our Mission Partners
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
